Where can I maintain my job seeker profile?
After you log in, select your name at the top-right of the screen and then select Your Profile from the drop-down. Profile options include:

  • Ability to upload your current Resume/CV document
  • Name as it appears to employers
  • Career summary
  • Your current CV
  • Your new role
  • Who can view your profile?

By keeping your job seeker profile up to date, you're showing employers who have access to the Resume Search or CV Search that you're actively looking for new opportunities. If you don't want employers to see your profile, or would like to exclude an employer from seeing your profile, then you can configure those preferences in the, "Who can view your profile?" section of Your Profile.

How can I find a suitable job opportunity?
Browse active job opportunities on the Home page, or by selecting Find a Job on the navigation menu. On the Home page, you can search opportunities by Keyword, Location, or browse by Job Function. On the Find a Job page you can refine your search to Industry Sector, Certifications, Employment Type, Education, Employer Type, Salary, or Location.

How can I get the most out of a Keyword search?
Keyword search crawls both the categories section and the text of the job opportunity. If there are specific terms, qualifications, or requirements that you feel are relevant to your search, then prioritizing Keyword terms in your search is a comprehensive way to capture what is available on the global CFA Institute Career Center.

How do I apply for a job?
After you find a suitable job opportunity, there are two possible application methods. One of these methods will be used by the employer to ensure that your application gets dedicated treatment.

  • Apply instantly - you'll complete a simple application form with your name, email address, resume, cover message, and screening questions (if applicable).
  • Apply externally - after reviewing the job post, selecting the "Apply" button will take you to an external website with further application instructions.

If there is no apply button within the job opportunity listing, then the employer may have listed more information in the description. Feel free to reach out to that employer directly for more information.

How do I create a job alert?
Job Alerts can be setup by clicking on the navigation menu, or in the star menu at the top-right of the screen. You can configure up to five (5) alerts and refine within each alert the following options:

  • Keyword
  • Location and distance surrounding location
  • Job Function
  • Industry Sector
  • Certifications
  • Employment Type
  • Education
  • Salary
  • Employer Type

If you would like to broaden your alert, then you may leave one or more of the above options blank. If there are specific terms, qualifications, or requirements that you feel are relevant to your job alert, then prioritizing the Keyword option is a comprehensive way to capture what is available on the global CFA Institute Career Center.

Please note that you will only receive emails when relevant jobs related to your alert become available. You can cancel alerts any time in the star menu at the top-right of the screen.

How can I save a job opportunity to view later?
If you find a suitable job opportunity that you would like to save for later review, or to apply for at a later time, then select the "Save" button located next to the job opportunity. Review your saved jobs in the star menu at the top-right of the screen. Please note when the job opportunity closes so you don't miss the application deadline.

Can I follow-up on my application?
You may follow-up on your job application directly with the employer or agency. Please note that not all employers or agencies will be able to accommodate your follow-up.

Can I email a job opportunity?
Yes. You can email job opportunities using the "Send" button in the job opportunity description.

Can I hide my resume?
Yes. If you don't want employers to see your profile, or would like to exclude an employer from seeing your profile, then you can configure those preferences in the, "Who can view your profile?" section of Your Profile. Your Profile can accessed by selecting your name at the top-right of the screen and then selecting Your Profile from the drop-down.
