- Managing day-to-day finance operations with a team of two direct reports.
- Performing all related accounting functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and company policy and procedures.
- Analytical review and analysis of financial data and generating monthly trend reports and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring financial statement accuracy and investigating variances.
- Monitor and manage financial risks in-line with compliance and regulations.
- Complete all HMRC filings and returns including corporation taxes and VAT in accordance with tax policy. Ad-hoc liaison with group tax team and HMRC on enquiries arising.
- Preparation of formal year end statutory accounts - coordinating annual external audit activities within the business. and liaising with external auditors.
- Oversight of bank reconciliations and maintenance of cash flow forecasts to ensure funds are available to meet obligations.
- Business partnering and working collaboratively on projects.
- Deputise for Head of Finance as appropriate.
- Regulatory reporting. Liquidity and capital requirements calculations, analysis and management under ICARA regime.
Experience
- The ideal profile is a qualified accountant with a strong experience as a Financial Controller, with the ability to work independently and cover many tasks simultaneously.
- Analytical minded and excited by new challenges and creating new processes.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience of working within Financial Services, ideally from within and Asset Manager.
- Experience in team management is desirable.
- ACA/ ACCA/CIMA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' post qualified experience.
