A leading Top 15 national accountancy practice are seeking an VAT Senior Manager to join their UK VAT & Customs Duty Team. The team are approaching 40 people has enjoyed a period of sustained growth and success in recent years.

An opportunity has arisen in their London, Maidstone and Birmingham office for an experienced UK VAT specialist who will enjoy a varied role acting as a trusted advisor to a varied portfolio of clients in the local region. The candidate will be a senior VAT resource in the team office and will be expected to work with the partners and the local office partners in developing VAT services and client relationships in the region.

Skills & Experience:

• Experienced UK VAT generalist able to advise on VAT matters.
• The client base includes property & construction, retail, manufacturing and tech & media.
• Client facing role that will necessitate the need to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
• Providing VAT technical support to other service lines within the firm such as our outsourced tax and accounting services business.
• A focus on marketing and business development in order to raise the profile of both the firm and the VAT services in the external market.
• People development and leadership skills. The candidate will have management responsibility for one junior member of staff, with future recruitment expected should the size of the local VAT business develop in line with our strategy and forecasts.
