Fund Accounting Manager, Private Markets

Our client is a fund management business based in central London. A new role has been created to manage a fund accounting function within their Private Markets and Real Estate team. You will be a fully qualified accountant and have experience with real assets, especially real estate.

The Role

• The main priorities in this role can be described as follows:
• Build out the effective oversight of all portfolio company financial activity, to include the oversight of management accounts, processes and financial controls along with the provision of appropriate training and remedial support as required.
• Ensure the regular provision of management accounts and other relevant reporting for all companies within the company's structure and the provision of this information to the Private Markets and Real Assets investment teams and the Investment tax teams.
• Establish an effective oversight and governance framework for all external parties used within the Private Markets and Real Assets teams, to include Third Party Administrators, external Operating Partners and Property Managing agents
• Take on the full ownership of the Private Markets and Real Estate Fund & Investment Accounting team, ensuring all activities are undertaken by the appropriate members of the team and the structure supports the provision of both BAU and oversight activities.

Requirements

• You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience working in private assets with a very strong emphasis on Real Estate
• Experience could also be gained from a Big 4 setting, where you will likely be a Senior Manager in a Real Estate funds audit team
• Have some managerial experience ideally
• Knowledge of Yardi, Burgiss or SUN advantageous
