Your new role
This is a job that is pivotal to the business. You will act as a trusted resource helping to steer the company towards achieving strategic and operational business objectives. You will demonstrate your expertise adding value and supporting the Finance Manager to deliver robust and on time financial information.
In detail You Will
  • Contribute to the accurate, timely and effective recording, reporting and analysis of financial information
  • Assist with ensuring integrity of the general ledger through reviewing transactions, completing reconciliations and analysis
  • Prepare and lodge returns to ensure the Company's statutory obligations are met
  • Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements for the reporting group and consolidated trading entity at year end and half year end
  • Assist in the preparation of information for internal and external audit requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of information for annual income tax return, R&D and transfer pricing submissions
  • Ensure the accurate treatment, processing, and reconciliation of lease agreements under Australian Accounting Standards
  • Ensure the accurate preparation and timely lodgement of indirect tax returns (GST, FBT, Payment Time Reporting) and presentation to the FM for approval and lodgement to ATO
  • Manage and oversee inventory accounting, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation of inventory balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards
  • Manage the fixed asset accounting. Processing additions and disposals
  • Participate in period end close procedures for areas of responsibility and maintaining related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage and oversee revenue recognition adjustments on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with IFRS
  • Have involvement with head office for collaboration on special projects and testing of internal controls and newly introduced systems
  • What you'll need to succeed
    Essential
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • Demonstrated experience working within an accounting environment (public practice or commercial)
  • High level of computer literacy, including advanced Excel skills
  • Professional confidence and excellent communication skills (written, visual and verbal)
  • The ability to apply problem-solving skills and take responsibility for resolving issues within areas of responsibility
  • Attention to detail, highly organised, deadline driven, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Professional and confidential approach to all business dealings
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute proactively and supportively to the delivery of team initiatives
