Key Responsibilities:
• Provide senior oversight and management of the Social Infrastructure business, primarily in UK and Europe, and other regions, ensuring efficient resource use and representing the company on company boards and committees
• Represent the company's interests on the Social Infrastructure portfolio companies' Boards
• Monitor monthly performance and communications
• Negotiate annual budgets
• Review remuneration of the relevant portfolio management team
• Work closely with local partners to review investment proposals (including acquisitions) by portfolio companies and integrate new acquisitions
• Assist and facilitate with other departments (Chairman's Office, Finance and Accounting, Corporate Affairs, Legal/Company Secretarial) as required
Required Qualifications:
• Degree educated; professional qualifications (e.g. accounting, legal, MBA) preferred but not essential
• Fluency in English
• Experience in key global markets located in UK / Europe to start
• At least 10 years of experience involving real assets (including investment properties or infrastructure assets), gained from working in investment banking, consulting, direct investment (e.g., pension funds, sovereign wealth funds), or relevant corporates
• Previous experience interacting with top management of global real asset companies (as a client, business partner, investment company), particularly at Board Level
• Experience in interacting with General Partners of investment funds and representing Limited Partners on the board of portfolio companies highly desirable
• Comfortable interacting with senior management of international businesses and senior colleagues in Hong Kong
• Wide-ranging skills, such as financial and accounting, legal, treasury, human resources, investment appraisal, and board governance
• Ability to communicate with senior executive management
• Experience reviewing investments and acquisitions
• Willingness to travel overseas regularly
