Responsibilities:
  • Assess Current State:
    • Conduct a thorough assessment of Client's current data management practices, including data governance, data quality, data security, and data privacy.
    • Identify existing gaps and challenges in meeting NDMO requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop NDMO Roadmap:
    • Develop a comprehensive roadmap for implementing an effective NDMO within Client.
    • Define clear objectives, timelines, and milestones for achieving NDMO compliance.
  • Policy & Procedure Development:
    • Draft and review data governance policies, procedures, and standards aligned with NDMO guidelines and industry best practices.
    • This may include data classification, data quality standards, data security policies, and data retention policies.
  • Data Inventory & Classification:
    • Assist in conducting a comprehensive data inventory and classification exercise across all Client departments.
    • Guide to develop a data catalog and metadata management framework.
  • Data Quality Improvement:
    • Define data quality metrics and implement measures to improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Develop data quality improvement plans.
  • Data Security & Privacy:
    • Assess and enhance data security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, breaches, and misuse.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., PDPL).
  • Technology & Tools:
    • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools for data management, including data lakes, data warehouses, data integration platforms, and data governance tools.
  • Training & Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of data governance principles and best practices among Client employees.
    • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Client, including IT, business units, legal, and compliance departments, to ensure successful implementation of the NDMO program.
  • Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Monitor progress towards NDMO compliance goals and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Continuously review and update the NDMO roadmap and policies to address evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, methodologies, and best practices e.g. DAMA, NDMO
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) guidelines and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
  • Experience in conducting data assessments, developing data governance frameworks, and implementing data management solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
