A fast-growing multi-billion AUM Registered Investment Advisor in the Houston area is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Wealth Advisor (SWA) or team to join their dynamic firm.   As the firm rapidly expands, they have amazing career opportunities for self-motivated, team-oriented professionals. 

 

This RIA offers bespoke, multi-generational planning and “endowment-style” investment solutions to predominantly ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.  The successful candidate will have direct, relevant experience and success in both client service and new business development.  The SWA will also have first-hand knowledge of the comprehensive wealth management process including both high-end planning and investment advisory services.  This individual will work directly with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and have experience with, and an appreciation of, the particular needs of these client segments.  Experience with institutions, endowments, and foundations is a plus in addition to private clients and centers of influence within the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Successful transfer of some advisory relationships.
  • Responsible for ongoing client service, supervising portfolio strategy implementation, portfolio review meetings, and acting as the primary source of contact with sourced and assigned clients.
  • Develop a strategy to work with and expand COIs such as CPAs, estate planning attorneys, and insurance professionals.
  • Create and develop a referral program from existing client base.
  • Identify client needs, suggest innovative solutions, and take action.
  • Perform new business development activities, focusing on ultra-high-net-worth market.
  • Deliver both conceptual and technical marketing/sales and implementation of ideas.  Explain investment strategy, with a proficient technical understanding of the solutions and services offered.

 

Competencies and Attributes:

  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience in a client-facing role working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals.  Experience with institutional clients is preferred. 
  • Track record of developing business successfully through traditional and digital channels.
  • Strong compliance record.
  • True fiduciary attitude.
  • Highly motivated, an affinity towards a self-starting work environment.
  • Experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services with demonstrated ability to develop and manage client relationships.
  • Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment, and experience.
  • Clear understanding of a long-term consultative sales process, with the ability to prospect for and win new business. 
  • Team player with strong leadership skills; excellent relationship management skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to prospective clients with varying degrees of investment knowledge.
  • Articulate, confident, driven professional with the ability to work with like-minded professionals in a results-oriented, fast-paced, and exciting environment.
  • Unimpeachable ethical standards and a strong work ethic.
  • Preferred designations are a CFP, CFA, CPWA, or a CIMA designation; firm will support/sponsor.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s Degree preferred.
