Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Lead with 6 to 9 years of experience in RPGLE AS/400 RPG DB2/400 and AS400/COBOL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Cards and Payments domain. This hybrid role requires a dedicated individual who can work effectively in a day shift. No travel is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of applications using RPGLE AS/400 RPG DB2/400 and AS400/COBOL.
  • Oversee the technical design and implementation of solutions within the Cards and Payments domain.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement best practices for coding standards and software development.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Participate in project planning and provide accurate time estimates for development tasks.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide training as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Must have strong experience in RPGLE AS/400 RPG DB2/400 and AS400/COBOL.
  • Must have domain expertise in Cards and Payments.
  • Should possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Should be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Must have a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Should have experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
