Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Irrigation Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the delivering of water and fertigation requirements to all trees
- Assisting with maintaining irrigation infrastructure including irrigation lines and connectors, pumps, filtration systems, motors, automated and delivery systems
- Monitoring water usage via monitoring systems and visual observations
- Contributing to the development and improvement of irrigation systems
- Farm maintenance
- Maintaining records
- Following safety requirements and contributing to continuous improvement of safety elements
Requirements
- Previous experience in orchard irrigation highly desirable
- Previous experience with MAIT software highly desirable
- This position involves manual, physical labour and requires the ability to work outdoors in an orchard environment
- You will hold a current driver's licence, manual licence preferred
- Ability to work independently and as directed without continuous supervision
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Chemical certificate highly desirable
- You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with Saturday and Sunday work during busy periods)
- You will have a positive, can-do attitude and be motivated to complete work in scheduled timeframes
