The Finance Operations team ("Fin Ops") sits within International Finance responsible for delivering quality internal and external outputs to all stakeholders within a controlled framework for insurance Technical, Cash, Treasury and Expense Accounting activities. As vital part of our Operations, the Accounts Assistant for the Surety Team will have a key role in ensuring success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily cashiering for various business units / bank accounts and reconciliations.
• Minimising unallocated cash balances.
• Administration of Cash Collateral deposits, including bookkeeping, account management, receipt allocations, reconciliations and payments.
• To carry out month end duties including bank reconciliations, cash clearing and any other Surety balance sheet reconciliations.
• To manage Surety commissions for all branches by taking responsibility of monthly payments to brokers, remittances and dealing with all queries.
• Ad hoc duties as required including providing support for other colleagues.

Skills and Experience Specification:

• Accounting technical knowledge
• Attention to detail
• Previous experience in a cashiering role
• Sound knowledge of double entry accounting
• Experience of cash allocation and pro-actively minimising unallocated cash
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Problem solving and query resolution abilities
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organisational skills
