Accountant analyst- Commodities Trading firm

This is an established player in the commodities trading sector with a global presence. Due to business expansion, they are looking to strengthen their finance team and are hiring an Accountant to support on accounting tasks and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the accountant will be responsible for handling accounts payable, month-end and year-end closing activities. The accountant will also have the opportunity to work on identifying and implementing automation solutions to streamline accounting processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a commodities trading. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as Macros, VBA, and Power Query, is essential. Exposure to Python/SQL tools would be an advantage. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance and technology teams are key attributes for success in this role.
