The role is a Rep Reporting manager and subject matter expert, requiring an understanding of the bank's business, balance sheet and applicable regulatory pronouncements, as well as knowledge of how these are reflected in the different reporting requirements.
What you'll do
- Preparation of regulatory reporting returns (CCR RWA, Leverage Ratio, COREP, PILLAR 3) within the scope of the local reporting to the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel / European Central Bank, Banque de France and consolidated reporting to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) for HBEU and Group in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders across business, Risk and Finance on RWAs.
- Contribute to the delivery of European Banking Authority (EBA) QIS and Climate stress testing returns for the bank.
- Ensure excellence in reporting and answers to ad-hoc regulatory requests.
- Supporting the delivery of the Regulatory Reporting transformation initiatives including strategic business decisions and mandatory regulatory changes.
- Deliver impact analysis requested within the context of Basel 3 reforms or other initiatives like model changes and new product implementations.
- Drive continuous improvement by suggesting ideas and supporting delivery of optimisation and improvement of regulatory reporting processes.
- Support business transformation on strategic projects.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Minimum 5 years' experience preferably in regulatory reporting or similar experience with strong knowledge of Basel regulation, RWA risk types, internal models (IMM).
- Deep knowledge of the CRR especially in the area of Counterparty Credit Risk (SA-CCR, IMM) and Leverage Ratio reporting.
- Experience in working in a regulatory reporting production environment, i.e. preparing regulatory returns like COREP templates, EBA QIS/ Stress test templates, Pillar 3 disclosures.
- Strong analytical skills to perform impact analysis on regulatory change, model change and to support several stakeholders across the bank in their run-the-bank and change-the-bank activities through the preparation of impact analysis on RWA and the delivery of granular data excerpts.
- Experience in deliver (regulatory) change: preparing functional requirements, UAT activities, new product process activities.
- Experience in SQL and VBA to maintain, update and create end user computing applications and to perform ad-hoc data analysis would be beneficial.
- Quantitative degree, ideally with professional education in Finance Skills.
- Knowledge in SAS Enterprise Guide preferable.
