Tax Manager based in Brisbane CBD offering $150k - $180k + Superannuation! Your new company
Hays is partnered with a property development group with a particular focus on retail centres and high-quality residential precincts. They have a portfolio of investments and developments across QLD, NSW and VIC. They are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their Brisbane CBD office today!
Your new role
As the Tax Manager, you will be reporting to the Group Treasurer and working closely with the wider finance team, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties including stakeholder management, project involvement and implementing risk mitigation strategies for tax compliance and governance.
Your day-to-day duties will include but aren't limited to:

Providing advice to the business with regard to tax implications of proposed decisions

Reviewing and collating the consolidated tax return

Managing the tax function, including compliance and advisory work associated with income tax, GST, FBT, R&D, and withholding tax

Managing the preparation of Australian income tax returns, FBT returns and BAS

Assessing tax risk frameworks

Trust accounting

Tax reporting

Documentation of processes around improvements and changes

Managing the tax effect accounting for inclusion in the statutory financial statements

Implement risk mitigation strategies

Driving process improvements and streamlining reports and systems

What you'll need to succeed

Tax professional with at least 6 years practical experience in property/real estate

Exceptional communication skills with the proven ability to interact with key stakeholders.

Demonstrated knowledge on tax compliance, governance and advisory.

Strong knowledge of trust exposure is Essential, along with coming from a similar position within property.

CPA/CA qualified
