Accountant

Role/Department:

An opportunity has arisen for an Accountant within the Real Estate and Infrastructure (REIF) Team. This team provides Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Relationship Management services to clients and is recognized as a leading provider of Fund Administration services in the Irish Real Estate market.

This role offers the chance to gain valuable knowledge and experience in a dynamic and diverse client environment, working with specialized asset managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of Fund Accounting requirements for Real Estate and Infrastructure Funds, staying informed on market trends, industry updates, and regulatory developments.
• Gather relevant data to support the production of Net Asset Values (NAVs) and management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Understand property transaction structures, including required processes and approvals.
• Assist with the payment of operating expenses.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Depositary, Legal, Transfer Agency, and Company Secretarial.
• Maintain a focus on exceptional client service, continuously improving departmental performance for both internal and external clients.
• Ensure clear operational structures are established at the inception of each fund.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Yardi experience is a must
• Currently pursuing or already holding a Professional Accounting Qualification.
• Experience in financial services or an audit firm.
• Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, IFRS, and the Irish regulatory/tax framework.
• Strong communication skills.
• Previous experience in Client Services.
• Exposure to accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
