The Opportunity
Westfuller is seeking an investment analyst to support the Director, Senior Portfolio Strategist and the firm’s values-aligned investment approach.
What You’ll Do
Portfolio Construction and Management
- Develop Strategic Asset Allocation by evaluating a client’s financial objectives, risk tolerance, impact objectives, liquidity, and unique circumstances.
- Construct traditional and sustainable investing portfolios with a thorough understanding of clients financial and impact objectives, risk tolerance, and suitable investment solutions.
- Run portfolio analytics and provide performance attribution commentary to monitor and rebalance investment portfolios.
- Prepare client presentation materials and present investment recommendations to clients.
Manager Research
- Support manager due diligence process, including sourcing managers, conducting diligence, and developing investment memos on public and private investment strategies alongside the investment team.
- Monitor existing public and private investment managers and provide quarterly updates to investment team and clients.
Macro-Economic and Asset Class Research
- Synthesize macro-economic research and generate investment ideas to support portfolio management and market commentary for clients.
Portfolio and Impact Reporting
- Support preparation of quarterly client performance reports, including maintenance of impact metrics.
What You’ll Bring
- Knowledge of multiple asset classes with the ability to articulate the roles of traditional and alternative asset classes in portfolios and across market environments.
- Ability to operate independently with a high level of direct responsibility, while maintaining strong ties to the broader team at the firm.
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be dedicated to the “client first” and must possess uncompromising personal integrity and ethics.
- Highly motivated and self-starter capable of managing long-term relationships, and initiating and cultivating new client relationships;
- Ability to collaborate with grace and composure with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be process driven – focused on developing and enhancing existing research and investment processes and frameworks.
- Passion for finance; Sustainable, Responsible, Impact-focus investing; and serving purpose-driven clients from progressive families and individuals to leading non-profits and foundations.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business-related field; MBA degree and/or CFA or CAIA designation (or progress toward these credentials) preferred. Other degree programs also welcomed.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Factset, Bloomberg, Morningstar, (Addepar a plus)
- Series 65 exam upon hiring
