The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Investment Operations and Performance Analytics Associate to drive our firm's operational excellence. This role sits at the intersection of investment analytics and operational efficiency, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while serving sophisticated clients.
What You'll Do
Investment Performance Analytics (40%)
- Design and produce monthly and quarterly investment performance reports for clients across multiple asset classes, including public equity, fixed income, and alternatives
- Lead data integrity initiatives to ensure accuracy in large investment return datasets
- Create compelling client presentations using Addepar, PowerPoint, or Excel
- Support the VP, performance analytics, to develop and enhance reporting methodologies
- Monitor and analyze performance trends to provide actionable insights
Investment Operations (40%)
- Support, manage, and optimize data connections and account openings across multiple bank and brokerage platforms, including but not limited to: BNY Pershing/NetX-360, NorthernTrust, Fidelity, and US Bank
- Drive efficiency improvements in alternative investment reporting using Canoe
- Manage fund administrator portal access and information/statement retrieval
- Collaborate with Investment Operations Managers to streamline processes
- Respond to time-sensitive requests from investment and operations teams with accuracy and precision
ESG Impact Reporting (20%)
- Champion the implementation of impact and ESG monitoring tools like YourStake, Sustainalytics, and MSCI, as examples
- Support the development of comprehensive ESG reporting frameworks
- Collaborate with Impact Measurement professionals to enhance monitoring capabilities
What You'll Bring
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field
- 5+ years in investment operations or analytics, preferably in wealth management
Proven expertise in:
- Investment performance analytics and reporting
- Global custody platforms and fund administrator systems
- Complex Excel modeling and large dataset management
- Multi-asset class performance reporting, including alternatives
- Addepar, Canoe, Microsoft Suite, CRMs, Bloomberg, FactSet, eVestment
- Preferred Qualifications
- GIPS knowledge and implementation experience
- Advanced Addepar platform expertise
- Professional certifications and/or securities licenses
- ESG/Impact investing metrics experience
