About The Role

Based in the Sydney office and reporting to the Head of Group Accounting, the Group Financial Accountant will responsible for completing financial reporting activities related to the consolidated financial statements and the subsidiary financial statements as well as managing intercompany and group cash flow.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for month end activities across both the consolidated and subsidiary entities, including intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assisting in the management of cash flow and funding for all group entities
  • Work with the tax team to manage intercompany transactions and funding, including dividends and debt/equity swaps.
  • Preparation of year end and half year accounts and subsidiary statutory accounts
  • Participate in statutory audits
  • Respond to financial stakeholder enquiries

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:

  • CA / CPA qualified
  • 3-5 years experience in an equivalent role
  • Listed entity experience preferably in an Australia listed organisation
  • Comprehensive understanding of IFRS and ability to communicate finance matters to non financial stakeholders
  • Experience with WorkDay Financials is desirable
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Curious and able to identify areas of possible change & process improvement.
  • Ability to prioritise with a willingness to take responsibility and ownership of role
