- Timely preparation of monthly management account information.
- Responsible for leading audits and reviews where required.
- Provide quarterly budgeting and forecasting information, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals and financial targets.
- Manage and oversee client billing cycles and fee calculations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the process of organising and scheduling supplier invoice payments to ensure timely and correct transactions.
- Preparation of relevant regulatory information and filings.
- Maintenance of the firm's employee expenses system including the review and approval of expenses.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Input and maintain accurate accounting data in the firm's financial systems, ensuring all entries comply with relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct thorough analytical reviews of financial statements and budget reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- If required, present analysis and findings to senior management, explaining complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
Background & Experience
- Will be qualified as an Accounting and Finance professional and/or hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Be newly qualified with experience in accounting, financial analysis, finance business partnering, or a similar finance related role within a corporate environment.
- Experience within, or a strong understanding of, the Financial Services industry.
- Proven experience of adhering to the complex regulatory reporting requirements within the Financial Services industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify areas of improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across all levels, locations and business functions.
- Experience of budgeting and analytical review.
- Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as prior experience of using an accounting system or other financial software.
- Knowledge or prior experience of SAP Business by Design would be highly desirable.
