Job Title: Account Management Specialist
Department: Account Management
Reports To: VP/Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Account Management Specialist will possess a strong understanding of key departmental functions, including returned items, general ledger control, reconciliations, and administrative support. This role requires direct customer interaction to provide basic information, assist with daily mail processing, and maintain accurate customer account documentation. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Become proficient in CSI Inquiry functions to support customer and internal inquiries.
  • Maintain and update customer deposit account documentation.
  • Assist with file retention and management, including invoices, stop payment forms, debit/ATM authorization forms, and other internal documentation.
  • Gain familiarity with general ledger inquiries and transaction posting.
  • Manage daily returned items, including both incoming and outgoing, and perform the following tasks:
    • Review NSF/OD lists and make processing decisions.
    • Contact customers as needed to resolve issues.
    • Generate Image Replacement Documents (IRDs) as required.
    • Process high-dollar return notices and chargebacks.
  • Review and process unposted and exception transactions (checking, savings, general ledger, and ACH).
  • Support daily general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Process legal orders, levies, garnishments, and reclamations.
  • Apply knowledge of Regulation E to review and decide on claims.
  • Manage inactive/dormant accounts and account escheatment.
  • Utilize CSI CenterView reports to assist with daily transaction research.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing check adjustments via FedLine Web.
  • Other Duties as needed.

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous banking or account management experience is preferred but not required.

Language Skills:
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (or as scheduled).

Other Skills:
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to perform percentage calculations and simple algebraic functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working within a Windows operating environment.
  • Strong decision-making ability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
