Interns at DLA Piper are given real responsibilities, supporting our clients wherever they operate around the world. You will have the chance to learn through practical work and observation in a truly global firm, giving you an outstanding breadth of legal knowledge, as well as the practical skills that will stay with you for your entire career.
You will also be fully involved in our pro bono and knowledge activities. You will have the opportunity to interact with other DLA Piper offices and experience our "One Team, No Borders" way of working, to improve and test your technical legal skills internationally.
We are offering 6-month Internships starting from January or July 2025. We are currently recruiting for July 2025.
This internship role is for a fixed term. It is not a Bar traineeship role.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Investment Funds team is a full-service practice providing legal advice on all aspects of the investment funds and asset management worlds. The Investment Funds team deals on a regular basis with all parts of the alternative asset management universe, including real estate, private equity and hedge structures, as well subsets or related types of those sectors, such as infrastructure, debt funds and listed funds. The team provides cross-practice support to the tax, finance, regulatory and mainstream corporate/private equity groups, and works with our international offices on a day to day basis.

- Assisting in the drafting of the legal documentation for the establishment of investment fund vehicles as regulated and non-regulated entities
- Assisting in the structuring and implementation of AIFM, management companies and advisory vehicles
- Assisting on the advice of the fund counterparties and service providers on their agreements with Luxembourg funds
- Assisting in the AIFMD analysis and compliance of Luxembourg and non-Luxembourg structures
- Drafting due diligence reports for investors' fund reviews
- Conducting research on general investment funds/investment management and regulatory advises

- A strong academic record
- Excellent communication and drafting skills in English and French
