Job Description

The Group Closing Coordination Specialist oversees the production of the Group Closing Calendar considering all reporting constraints, monitor the closing activities with all stakeholders to secure deadlines, is involved in transversal projects as a coordinator and support GCAO teams in their approach to communicate within SCOR finance community.

Responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities

1/ Group closing calendar production
  • Definition and production of the group closing calendar on a quarterly basis
  • Validate the contributions of each stakeholder and set up new milestones
  • Follow the closing and stabilize the activities related to IFRS 17.

2/ Closing coordination

Assist the closing production and the teams involved (group + locals) through: - a defined

  • comitology (bi-weekly + bi-monthly follow up meetings) - identified the potential risks and bring them to the attention of the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the communication among the teams and support the LEs on their daily closing activities.
  • Share last updates and achievements on middle/long term initiatives related to the closing production and IFRS 17 Stabilization

3/ GCAO communication:
  • Keep the existing content on Finance intranet up to date (Conso Page, Closing Calendar, quarterly newsletter)
  • Support the other GCAO teams in their approach to communicate within SCOR finance community.

4/ Transversal projects
  • Work as project coordinator on the implementation of best practices and new usages (Digital Closing initiative leading to greater connectivity within the teams)
  • Search for synergies and optimization of existing processes (IO process, Digital calendar, PBC list)
  • Project of redesigning the IO process in light of IFRS 17

Required experience & competencies
  • Proactive, rigorous and committed, the candidate should also demonstrate autonomy, agility and excellent communication skills. A robust capacity to understand closing and reporting processes is necessary.
  • Experience of SAP environments (S4, BFC)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well organized, efficient and autonomous
  • Team player, collaborative spirit
  • Agile and reactive to respond to a constantly evolving environment
  • Appetite for IT and transformation related projects
  • Deep experience in MS Office pack
  • Ability to use reporting tools
  • The employee needs to have at least 5 to 7 years work experience in Consolidation, Reporting or Project.

Qualifications

Required Education

A higher education diploma (equivalent to Bac+5) with accounting specialization (DSCG, business school...).
