Job Description

SCOR is currently reinforcing its procurement department, creating the Category Manager Corporate Functions Services position.

The Category Manager designs and implements goods, solutions and services procurement strategies, monitors performance plans, and oversees strategic suppliers' management. The functions in scope are General Services, Mobility, HR, Marketing, and Communication.

The Category Manager Corporate Functions Services goal is to:
  • Develop trusted relationship with the Functions in scope and act as their single point of contact for all procurement matters
  • Promote innovative sourcing approaches
  • Develop global strategic vendors partnerships where relevant
  • Ensure sustainable sourcing in the relevant functions (e.g., General Services)
  • Optimize purchasing costs while maintaining service quality
  • Manage suppliers risks in key areas: CSR, finance, legal, and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Support the Functions in scope in developing sound sourcing strategies
  • Engage with the Functions representatives, assess business requirements, and draw synergies through and across the Functions in scope
  • Implement a consistent procurement strategy for each family of the scope
  • Lead global agreements negotiations in a multicultural environment
  • Ensure compliance on the procurement process

Monitor the strategic vendors, performance plans and savings across Functions

Qualifications

Required experience & competencies
  • Demonstrated Procurement experience in a similar environment on the families in scope
  • Experienced negotiator (with vendors and stakeholders)
  • Contract management experience
  • Collaborative team player and leader, with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Result and customer-oriented mindset
  • Ability to prioritize
  • English and French (spoken and written).

Required Education
  • Master or equivalent experience
