Our multifunctional service unit offers a variety of services, including sales, supply chain, IT&IS, and finance within an international organization. Our Finance team, consisting of 13 colleagues, is constantly working on improving (financial) processes related to both internal factories and offices and external suppliers throughout Europe. Due to the internal career progression of employees, we are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant GL to continue providing excellent support to all internal and external stakeholders.

We are one of the world's largest suppliers of paper packaging, with locations in 22 European countries, 13 countries in North and South America, and 1 in Africa.

For our location in Roermond, we are looking for an ambitious Assistant Financial Accountant GL. You will join a close-knit team of 13 colleagues who will welcome you with open arms.

Functie
In this role as an Assistant Financial Accountant GL, you will ensure the accurate financial administration for both internal and external stakeholders. Your organizational talent and attention to detail are essential for navigating the dynamic nature of the position within a large international organization.Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of VAT and Intrastat returns in 18 countries and contact person for our tax advisor;
• Participating in month-end closings and drawing up audit reports;
• Preparing and processing journal entries;
• Correctly allocating payments and processing payment discounts;
• Converting sales contracts to creation of sales orders;
• Creation of sales orders for credit notes;
• Preparing the hedging process in connection with hedging currency risks;
• Maintaining operational contact with internal and external stakeholders;
• Providing support for internal and external audits;
• Proactively thinking about process improvements.

Furthermore, we value the following:

• You are available for 32-40 hours per week;
• You have a Bachelor's degree in finance;
• You have at least 2 years of experience;
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus;
• You are proficient in English, Dutch is a plus;
• Experience in a listed multinational is an advantage;
• Knowledge of international VAT and Intrastat declarations is a plus.
