Overview of Role
The successful candidate will join our Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) Front Team to assist with servicing private banking clients and support the team in fulfilling the day-to-day operational "Know your client" (KYC) and further due diligence tasks. We are preferably looking for someone who has an understanding and connection to the region. Additionally, fluency in a language from our region would be considered a valuable asset.
This exciting internship will last for a period of 9 - 12 months and the preferred start date is April or May 2025.

Responsibilities
- Provide general client maintenance assistance, such as:
- opening banking relationships, including KYC and dealing with Legal & Compliance matters
- responding to client requests
- taking responsibility for day-to-day client administration (e.g. payments, credits, securities administration) and internal projects
- preparing documentation for client meetings
- monitoring progress of tasks and ensure proper follow-up
- Provide financial markets support such as:
- updating clients' portfolios overview, including performance metrics
- researching on specific companies, sectors and macroeconomics topics
- supporting Seniors in processing trading orders
- updating quarterly client presentations (MS Powerpoint) & reports (MS Excel)
- Ensure close co-operation with various departments in carrying out the above activities
- Collaborate in marketing activities of the team, including maintaining prospects lists, writing marketing letters, organising meetings and business trips and ensuring proper follow up
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master student or completed Swiss banking apprenticeship
- Strong MS Office skills, prior experience with Avaloq an advantage
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Previous experience in the financial industry is considered a plus
- Knowledge and interest in financial markets and asset allocation
- Fluent in English/German and preferably a local language of the Central & South Eastern European region
