We are seeking a skilled and motivated Corporate Actions for a global MNC Asset. The role focuses on ensuring the timely processing of corporate action events and maintaining robust oversight of our middle office service providers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in corporate actions, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams to achieve business goals effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with outsourced service providers to ensure the timely handling of both mandatory and voluntary corporate action events across all markets. This includes validating and creating gold copies, sending election instructions, processing events, settling transactions, and resolving reconciliation discrepancies.
- Supervise outsourced middle office service providers, proxy voting providers, securities lending agents, and tax reclaim partners to ensure efficient operations.
- Regularly review and update corporate action procedures to keep them current and relevant.
- Work closely with Fund Managers and ISS to ensure that proxy voting elections are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with regulatory reporting related to corporate actions and proxy voting.
- Continuously evaluate existing processes to ensure robust control and oversight of middle office service providers, maintaining efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with other teams, functions, and entities to identify opportunities for workflow improvements and drive changes to deliver exceptional service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managing change requests and addressing ad hoc queries from stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to queries from all stakeholders, manage expectations, and develop and maintain strong relationships.
Key Qualifications
• 2-6 years of relevant experience in roles related to corporate actions.
• Recognized as a subject matter expert in corporate actions.
• Comprehensive understanding of asset management operations, especially the fundamentals of corporate actions and income events.
• In-depth knowledge of operational risk and control frameworks.
• Demonstrated excellence in both verbal and written communication.
