Description of the role: We're seeking an Operations Manager to join our Business Advisory team. In this role you'll be supporting the BA Partners to implement the division strategy, managing projects, triage technical and operation team queries and implement and maintain efficient processes and procedures across the division.

What makes you 'just right':
  • Previous management experience, in an accounting firm.
  • CA or CPA Qualifications (desirable)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Technical accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of legislative changes and practices
  • Fresh eyes and an innovative approach - we want to hear your amazing ideas.

What your day might look like:
  • Provide support and contribution to the Business Advisory Partners to achieve the strategic outcomes of the division.
  • Communicate across and within division around policy changes, procedure changes, and project outcomes
  • Be the point of contact for queries of a technical or operational nature for the BA division.
  • Oversee staff training needs
  • Implement and maintain processes and procedures across the division.
  • Promote quality, efficiency and consistency in work processes, across the BA teams.
  • Build relationships with key software providers in conjunction with software champions.
  • Coordinate software champions for the division.
  • Oversee compliance obligations.
  • Monitor progress of client income tax lodgements throughout the year.
  • Preparation, analysis and commentary of regular reporting for the division and firm.
  • Actively participate in various meetings (eg BA Innovation; BA L&D committee, Xero champions etc)
  • Undertake special projects as assigned.
