The Invenire Group are currently working with a Global Hedge Fund and Asset Manager who are looking to bring on a Payroll Manager.
This role focuses on managing international payroll and income tax compliance for a Global Hedge Fund who currently runs payroll in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and France, along with several shadow payrolls and cross-border compliance tasks.

This role focuses on managing international payroll and income tax compliance for a Global Hedge Fund who currently runs payroll in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and France, along with several shadow payrolls and cross-border compliance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Payroll Management: Collaborate with the Finance, Compensation, and HR teams to oversee payroll delivery for the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden, and France.
- Vendor Oversight: Manage external payroll vendor contracts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to local reporting requirements.
- Payroll Processing: Prepare and coordinate monthly payroll submissions with external providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with in-country legislation.
- International Assignments: Oversee payroll aspects of international secondments and relocations in partnership with HR teams and external advisors, such as Deloitte.
- Process Improvement: Streamline payroll processes, enhance controls, and drive automation while improving documentation.
- Tax Compliance: Manage Short-Term Business Visitor processes, PAYE Settlement Agreements, and other income tax compliance requirements.
- Year-End Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of year-end payroll compliance across all locations.
- Payment and Data Management: Oversee payroll payment processes, system access, and beneficiary data with external vendors.
- Financial Reconciliation: Work closely with the Finance team on payroll reconciliations, bank reconciliations, liquidity management, FX, and payroll accounting.

- Pension Compliance: Ensure compliance with pension auto-enrolment regulations by collaborating with outsourced provider and pension provider.
- Benefits Reconciliation: Work closely with Accounts Payable and HR teams to collect and reconcile HR data for payroll-based benefits.
- P11D Compliance: Manage P11D compliance for international assignees.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll queries from European employees.
- Self-Service Tools: Maintain and enhance intranet-based self-service tools and information for the European employee population.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Experience: 10+ years of payroll experience within a complex international organization is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree and a professional accounting qualification.
- Integrity and Professionalism: Demonstrates unwavering integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Client-Focused Approach: Delivers payroll services with a client-centric mindset, prioritizing data quality and process automation.
- Multi-Currency Expertise: Experience with multi-currency ledgers, payments, and foreign exchange (FX) accounting is preferred.
