Key Responsibilities:
P&L Reconciliation and Analysis:
Daily P&L reconciliation and analysis for assigned Fixed Income products.
Investigate and explain P&L variances, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Perform deep-dive analysis into drivers of P&L performance, including market movements, trading activity, and operational issues.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within financial systems.
Prepare regular reports on P&L performance, risk exposures, and other key metrics.
Support the production of regulatory filings and management reports.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of product control processes.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of control frameworks.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with trading desks, portfolio managers, risk managers, and other stakeholders.
Provide clear and concise communication on product control matters.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Product Controller or in a similar financial control role within the asset management or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of Fixed Income products and markets, including bonds, derivatives, and other related instruments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis techniques.
Strong Excel skills and experience with financial data systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience with accounting and financial reporting standards.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, VBA).
Working Arrangements:
This role requires a strong office presence, with a minimum of 4 days in the office per week.
