Head of Tax - HNW

Our client, an elite Wealth Manager who have a strong client base of HNW individuals are seeking to hire a Head of Tax to build and own a new practice within the firm. Reporting into the Board, the Head of Tax will be responsible for building out and standing up a best-in-Tax practice working with the firms existing HNW client base to oversee tax filing, reporting and planning.

This will be a stand-alone role with a mandate to build a team as the practice grows.

The Head of Tax will be responsible for...

• Preparing and reviewing tax returns other required tax forms
• Advising clients on the full spectrum of individual tax opportunities including tax planning, estate planning and tax compliance
• Driving the expansion of the practice focusing on both growth opportunities with both existing and prospective clients
• Researching and keep up to date with the ever-changing tax filing requirements

The Head of Tax should have the following qualifications...

• Minimum 5 years' experience working in public accounting with a taxation focus
• Bachelors in Accounting or Business related field
• CPA license
• Strong proficiency in individual taxation with an understanding of complex investments and associated tax and reporting requirements
• A strong communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit
