We have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our growing firm within our Business Advisory division in Melbourne .

The successful candidate will take ownership over specific functions and provide support to the Business Advisory Managers and Partners.

Key Responsibility:
  • Manage the planning, execution and completion of client assignments
  • Prepare financial statements and statutory compliance reports including BAS, GST, FBT and tax returns for individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts
  • Liaise directly with clients to respond to queries or provide information
  • Assist Partners/Managers with reviewing files as requested
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Develop strong relationships with clients
  • Lead and manage our team members in Manila
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • 5+ years' experience within Business Services
  • A degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Completed or near completion of a post graduate qualification (e.g. the CA/CPA program)
  • A strong understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities
  • Experience using accounting software including APS, MYOB and cloud-based tools, e.g. Xero, QuickBooks
  • An enthusiastic team player, with a drive to take ownership and responsibility over your own work
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders and clients
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage your own priorities with tasks given to you by multiple managers
