Responsibilities
Deal Origination:
- Support origination efforts including financial spreading, initial credit/debt capacity, initial target/sponsor profile and industry study and preparation of internal discussion papers
- Support marketing initiatives including idea generation, prospect identification and screening and preparation of pitch books, RFPs, term sheets, etc
- Assist in deal origination-related administration including the execution of confidentiality agreements and release letters, maintenance of databases and other related admin/compliance matters
- Support approval process including financial modelling, financial/credit analysis, business/industry analysis, legal/structure analysis, risk analysis and preparation of internal credit memos
- Support other deal execution processes including inter-department discussions, signing and closing
- Assist in deal execution-related administration including the preparation of check sheets, KYC and other related admin/compliance matters
- Deal by deal reporting to relevant team members on specific transactions
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in financial modelling is a plus
- Attention to detail
- Written and oral communication skills
- Organisation skills and ability to prioritise, manage and meet expectations/deadlines
- Autonomy, self-driven/starter, sense of initiative and proactiveness
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team and with others
- Strong work ethic, integrity and commitment
- Undergraduate student from a reputable university majoring in finance/business/accountancy
- Strong interest in working in banking especially within the leveraged finance space
- Prior relevant internship experience is a plus
