The main responsibilities include:
Accounts Preparation
- Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Review work from trainees, resolving queries and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Handle tax computations for personal, corporation, and P11d taxes, assisting with specialized tax areas such as CGT and IHT.
Team Development
- Provide feedback and on-the-job training to juniors.
- Allocate tasks effectively and support professional growth within the team.
Specialized Medical Sector Support
- Gain exposure to unique aspects of the medical field, such as NHS pension calculations and PCN accounts preparation.
Skills/experience required:
- 3+ year's experience ideally at Semi Senior level or similar.
- Familiarity with the medical sector (NHS pension schemes, PCSE Online, GMS contracts) is a plus but not essential.
- Proficiency with Iris, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage.
- A thorough understanding of AML regulations, GDPR, and other compliance standards.
- A client-focused mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
