About the job:
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with the end-to-end execution of M&A deals.
- Working on multiple transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all aspects of M&A transactions, with a view to developing proficiency in M&A transactions across Europe.
- Preparing and coordinating client materials and other relevant advisory tasks, with several opportunities to 'step up' and contribute to BBVA's investment banking franchise.
- Team player, motivating and actively participating in the training of the team.
Qualifications:
- Ideally 3-5 years of prior experience in an advisory or investment banking role, with a fundamental understanding of the Energy, TMT and/or Infrastructure sectors (Digital infrastructure, Transport, Energy infrastructure), and relevant deal experience highly desirable.
- Proven quantitative and analytical skills to develop financial models and valuations with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis.
- Highly proficient in financial, valuation, and capital structure analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Fluency in written and oral communications skills in English language.
- Knowledge of other European languages beneficial though not strictly mandatory.
