Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to Senior Accounting Manager of Accounting Control, work independently to ascertain the accuracy of financial records and the execution of control measures
  • Monitor daily ledger operations and monthly closing process, focusing on profit and loss and high risk items
  • Perform examination of compliance in accounting policies and internal controls, both locally and regionally
  • Participate in control testing formulation based on financial risk assessment
  • Participate in user acceptance testing in implementation of accounting system, development/ enhancement of accounting functionality of system for new/ existing products or services
  • Propose enhancement in operation efficiency and control effectiveness through simplification, automation and standardization of accounting operation activities
  • Participate in ad hoc projects to support management's decision and departmental operation
  • Participate in developing and maintaining procedure manuals
Requirements:
  • Degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • Professional qualification in HKICPA or other professional accounting bodies
  • At least 4 years' banking experience in financial reporting or audit experience in a Big Four or recognized reputable accounting firm
  • Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure with tight time schedule
  • Strong in collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly in Excel. Chinese word processing skill is a must.
  • Well-versed in written and spoken Chinese and English. Spoken Mandarin is a plus
