About the job:

Job Purpose & Objectives
  • Manage the project finance portfolio booked in Asia
  • Monitor the risk exposure of BBVA Asia
  • Handle requests from regulators, internal control and auditors, both internal and external
  • Maintain an up to date record for all the policies, procedures and charters
  • Ensure all the corporate financial programs ("PFs") and all facilities are renewed / reviewed annually (or at the requested interval) in a timely manner
  • Convene the Asia Risk Committee and Asia Loan Review Committee

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the quarterly Transaction Review for all outstanding projects
  • Keep track of project status, performance and repayment schedules and alert the Head of Risk Asia of any potential undesirable trend or event noted
  • Maintenance of database for existing projects, properly file all the documents and information received for each project into the database
  • Prepare the quarterly Credit Risk Situation Report
  • Act as secretary of the Asia Risk Committee and Asia Loan Review Committee, engaging in the preparation of agenda, help guiding over the meetings and preparation of the minutes
  • Consolidate inputs for the Weekly PF Review for corporates and financial institutions
  • Follow up any overdue / facility excess / OD excess items for the Asian branches and report them to the Head of Risk Asia
  • Prepare the semi-annual stress test
  • Prepare the monthly Asia Risk Portfolio Comparison Report
  • To ensure requests from regulators, internal control and auditors are properly addressed
  • Prepare the Expired PFs Charts for both corporates and financial institutions
  • To ensure the timely renewal of all policies, procedures and charters
  • Maintenance of the master list for all corporate PFs
  • Perform a monthly check on Work Flow for selected PFs
  • Perform a rating reconciliation for selected PFs
  • Prepare the quarterly comparison between internal and external ratings of all the PFs
  • Prepare the Watch List Summary
  • Prepare the monthly Asia Portfolio Report
  • Maintenance of the Organizational Chart

Qualification & Experience
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3 years' Banking experience in audit / operations / risk
  • Credit evaluation experience

Knowledge & Skills
  • PC literacy (Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Language
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Other languages such as Mandarin an added advantage.
  • Spanish speaking language skills (desirable)
