Compensation Overview

The hourly salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual hourly rate for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

As an Actuarial Intern you may have exposure to different levels of management and attend a few networking/social events and training courses.

Actuarial interns are viewed as a source of future candidates for an Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) internship or entry-level actuarial career opportunity. What Will You Do?
  • The Travelers Actuarial Internship provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience, and receive valuable on-the-job training that adds value and impact to the business
  • Gain firsthand business experience
  • Receive valuable on-the-job training
  • Learn about actuarial positions available in the insurance industry
  • Attend networking and training events
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Undergraduate freshmen and sophomores
  • Majors: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related Majors

What is a Must Have?
  • Obtained or pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the future need for sponsorship
