Data and Analytics Office

In Hang Sang Data and Analytics Office, we enable transformation into a data-driven Bank. We execute Data Governance, Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Partnership, and Data Literacy to generate business values from data.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Data Manager .

Principal responsibilities:

• Implement governance frameworks on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (BDAI), data privacy and information lifecycle management initiatives focusing on policy implementation, regulatory changes, and risk mitigation.
• Responsible to ensure BDAI governance framework in HASE adhering to both HSBC Group requirements and local regulatory standards, while ensuring the operational efficiency of governance processes.
• Support AI governance and data risk and controls oversight by hosting governance meetings and preparing risk papers to various risks and control management forums in the Bank.
• Work closely with 2LoD and Business/ Function teams to ensure AI governance is properly executed and.
• Provide advice and guidance to Business/ Function teams on AI governance and data control implementation, execution, monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement and the Bank's internal policy/ procedure.

Requirements

• University Graduates in Data Management/ Risk Management/ Information Management or related subject
• Minimum 5 years' experience in managing risk and controls in financial services industry with focuses on Data Governance, Data Privacy, Information Life Cycle Management or Generative Artificial Intelligence preferred
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, including Big Data & Artificial Intelligence governance, data privacy principles, Information Lifecycle Management, as well as Operational Risk Management Framework
• Strong communication skills and abilities to interact with stakeholders at various levels
• Strong written skills with ability to articulate the data control implementation status
• Attention to details with a strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timelines with quality results
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective delivery in a changing work environment
