Job Description

An outstanding opportunity exists for a student seeking to gain marketable financial skills and experience in the exciting area of International Finance.

Job Duties include:
  • Support analysis of general ledger account balances with third party reinsurers and brokers, including rendering financial statements, applying / paying cash, and processing accounting adjustments.
  • Adjust claim financials for third party reinsurance recoveries; communicate with other Chubb business units as needed to ensure correct financial position.
  • Calculate and communicate third party and internal reinsurance recoveries on large loss notices considering both contract details and multiple currencies.
  • Draft, proofread, and communicate large loss notifications to third party brokers and reinsurers.
  • Various other responsibilities to accomplish objectives of the role including preparing journal vouchers, providing data and accounting support in the analysis of Divisional Reinsurance Recoverables, creating contract profiles in third party ledger system, and participating in special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Access
  • Accounting or Finance major preferred
