AVP / VP Financial Controller - Global IB / Asset Manager

Our client is a global boutique bank with both investment banking and asset management, who is looking for a financial controller to join their firm as the VP for finance reporting to an off shore Head of Finance (Asia Pac).

As the sole financial accountant in Hong Kong, the successful candidate must possess strong technical skills, ideally in asset management and strong interpersonal skills to work with a multi-cultural, global team.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for the asset management and advisory business.
• Variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting; reviews and analysis
• Management reports and presentations
• Consolidate and analyse financial data to create dashboards and reports
• Cash flow management
• Risk and internal controls
• Regulatory compliance

The ideal candidate will be big 4 trained, plus 5years + experience working in asset management, an eye for detail and a proactive approach. Candidates with SAP or Concur will be well viewed. Language skills: English and Mandarin.
