Accountant AVP - Brokerage

Our client is a global Broker who is looking for a financial accountant to join the team, based in Hong Kong, to iniatially cover accounts payable, then move onto more strategic projects and more senior financial accounting tasks.
Responsibilities include :

• Handling accounts receivable and billing tasks
• Invoices and supporting documents
• Account schedules for monthly reporting
• Expense payments and fee reports
• Research and resolve invoice issues
• Work with vendors
• Accounts payable, check runs and wire transfers
• General ledger entries
• Intercompany accounting, reconciliation and settlements

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or have an accounting degree and a minimum 3 years experience working for a brokerage, prime broker or brokerdealer. Excellent communications skills in English are expected for success in this role. This is a 12 month contact role with a possible permanent role at the end of the 12 months.
