Senior Officer - Finance Transformation and Data Analysis

Our client is a top global insurer looking for a Senior Officer to join their Finance Transformation project, focusing on data analysis. The perfect candidate will possess a strong finance and IT background, experience in transformation initiatives, and a solid grasp of behavioral finance concepts, including the "ostrich" effect. This role will play a crucial part in driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in and support finance transformation initiatives aimed at improving data management and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for informed decision-making.
• Utilize knowledge of the "ostrich" effect to address cognitive biases that may impact financial analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and operations, to implement effective data solutions.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, shaping the overall finance strategy and initiatives.
• Apply best practices in data analysis and transformation methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, IT, Accounting, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in financial analysis or transformation projects, ideally within the insurance industry though candidates from all industries are welcome.
• Strong understanding of behavioral finance principles, particularly the "ostrich" effect.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and a basic understanding of IT systems supporting finance functions.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively within a team environment, along with excellent analytical abilities.
