QIC Finance leads enterprise financial outcomes through insight, analysis, decision support and partnering. The team delivers financial services for QIC, its subsidiary companies, investment products, mandates and real estate assets. The Director, Tax Assurance leads the delivery of compliance, tax risk management, and governance for internal QIC clients & stakeholders in connection with the Infrastructure, Private Debt, and Private Equity asset classes.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Driving the delivery of tax compliance and risk management requirements in connection with the Infrastructure, Private Debt, and Private Equity asset classes.
  • Leading a team providing a range of tax assurance related services and related advice to internal clients in connection with tax compliance, governance and risk management.
  • Shape strategic relationships while driving the development and execution of the enterprise tax strategy and framework.
  • Championing best practice compliance and tax risk management systems, programs and frameworks, while continuing to identify opportunities to align strategic and operational tax activities across the enterprise.

About You

You're a results-driven leader with a knack for problem-solving and building strong relationships. You thrive in complex environments and excel at delivering tax compliance and governance outcomes. Here's what sets you apart:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Law and hold a CA/CPA.
  • A proven track record in a corporate tax division, accounting firm, funds manager, or large financial services entity.
  • Familiarity with domestic and international fund structures (such as trusts and partnerships) and associated tax compliance and risk management requirements.
  • Strong people leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to quickly grasp investment products and complex structures.
