Senior Accountant/Controller

For our client, an actively growing player in the Commodity Trading industry we are looking for a Senior Accountant/Controller. You would be part of a growing Finance Team working on a diverse range of tasks that span across accounting and controlling, as well as great development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts;
• Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting activities and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance;
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns;
• Participation in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process including consolidation;
• Preparation of business data and analysis of Trade P&L;
• Participation in the annual budgeting process;
• Assist in financial and tax audits;
• Assist in implementing and management of projects in finance and accounting

Your Profile

• Must have a professional certificate in finance and accounting
• Must have several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in commodity trading company structure
• Must have good knowledge of accounting standards OR, ideally initial knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER
• Fluent in English and German. Any other language would be an advantage.
• Confident use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and ERP systems, including Quick-Books
• High degree of personal responsibility
