Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Private Equity team and the QIC Performance, Risk, Legal, Tax, and Accounting teams to participate in the client quarterly reporting process.
- Monitor and review portfolio company data within software systems to ensure completeness, accuracy, and identify notable returns.
- Oversee fund performance post-investment by reviewing quarterly reports, assessing fund manager activities, and comparing performance to other portfolio funds.
- Conduct in-depth private equity market and industry research, analysing capital raising, deal flow, investment returns, and trends across funds, secondaries, and direct investments.
- Perform benchmarking analysis against the portfolio's performance and effectively communicate the findings to the QPE team or clients.
- Address ad-hoc matters and actionable items from QPE's investment portfolio reporting, including both investment and administrative issues.
- Undertake detailed research and financial analysis to support the team, preparing written or visually engaging presentation materials that clearly articulate key findings and conclusions.
About You:
- A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional employment experience.
- Strong excel modelling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-review.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of finance and accounting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Interest in private equity markets.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
