Senior Manager for our VAT Compliance department (m/f/d)

Your future team

Our indirect tax team is composed of an international group of experts, dedicated to VAT compliance or advisory services. Our team is composed of around 60 people, 8 different nationalities, and many years of combined practical experience to advise clients across all sectors in VAT matters.

Your next challenge

• Monitoring the delivery of high quality compliance services (VAT return preparation, review and filing) to international clients of your own clients portfolio
• Handling queries from the tax authorities and dealing with VAT controversies
• Build strong relationships both with clients and our global network
• Leading client meetings and training organized by our Group
• Building productive, long-term relationships with clients and colleagues, across a broad network, based on mutual respect
• Required to communicate effectively with the Partners and the firm's professional and support staff
• Supporting initiatives of VAT compliance automation processes

• Responsible for the development and motivation of staff members and providing them with training coaching and counselling, leadership, supervision, feedback and career guidance

What about you:

Knowledge, skills & abilities

• Hold a Master degree in Accountancy, Finance or Law and the Diploma in Luxembourg taxation
• Benefit at least from 7-10 years' experience in indirect tax compliance activities (knowledge in VAT consulting are an asset for the role)
• Demonstrate experience in the supervision and training of employees
• Distinguish yourself by your organisational skills and team spirit
• Feel comfortable with MS-Office software literate
• Fluency in English is a necessity, French or German is considered an asset but not mandatory

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including both technical and business writing, deliverable preparation, documentation and presentation skills
• Advanced analytical, problem solving, listening and interpersonal skills
• Strong commitment to client service
• Ability to present recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
• Well organized and ability to multi-task
• Requires a high level of maturity, professionalism, initiative, integrity and confidentiality
• Sound knowledge of operations in the competition economics world
• Creativity, the ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
• Ability to synthesize information and produce concise synopses/summaries
• Ability to work well in a culturally diverse team-oriented environment and independently.
