- Participates in the development and implementation of functional policies, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the business unit providing some guidance in facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Contributes to the preparation of the business unit budget and ensures that the activity within this unit is implemented processed as per the assigned budget.
- Supervises the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the accounting activity is carried out in an efficient manner.
- Prepares key financial statements for a specific area of accounting activity to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to internal and external customers and representatives.
- Oversees the production of reports according to defined schedules to ensure the provision of accurate, timely financial information to assist management decision-making and fulfill legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Ensures the conformity of data so that it meets the requirements of external representatives such as regulatory authorities, external auditors, and partner company representatives.
- Consults with external bodies and representatives (e.g., Saudi regulatory authorities, external auditors, etc.) as required to ensure that any queries are answered in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Reconciles financial data according to stated schedules so that the company remains aware of its financial position on an ongoing basis and statutory reports can be produced within internal and legislative time limits.
- Provides consultative advice as required to other business areas to allow the realization of cost saving or efficiency enhancing opportunities.
- Prepares non-routine financial statements for management attention as requested in order to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- A formal financial management or accounting qualification is preferable
- 5 years of related experience
