Position Summary

As a Senior Cloud Data Consultant, you will lead the design, delivery and operation of a cloud data platform. The platform is now in Production use and has number data ingestion pipelines, both batch and near real time.

You will lead a small team of data specialists who continually expand the scope of data, reporting and use cases, while ensuring that the platform continues to operate reliably and securely. TMR uses SCRUM method for the project and adheres to ITIL practices for operating the solutions.

The platform is based on a cloud data warehouse and relational database. You will lead the data warehouse architecture, including the data models, data mapping and data management practices.

As a member of the Cognizant's Technical Consulting team, you will provide advice and proposals to the primary customer and others. This requires active communication and collaboration with colleagues and customers, along with a commitment to continuous learning. You will be required to present proposals and content to a range of current and potential clients in various industries

Mandatory Skills

• Proven ability to lead the design and delivery of data warehouses based on modern, cloud technologies
• Extensive skills across the software delivery lifecycle, including project governance and agile methodology
• Snowflake
• AWS
• Matillion
• Advanced skills in data modelling, data warehouse architecture and governance
• Tableau
• Cloud solution management and support
• Broad data skills including several major database technologies and ETL toolsets
• Git and adhering to DevOps processes for solution and cloud infrastructure
• Consulting and advice within large organisations, with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience and understanding of 2 or more industries, including government and financial or utilities

Roles And Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for data and reporting
• Develop relational and dimensional data models
• Develop, monitor and maintain the data platform, using AWS and Matillion
• Develop, monitor and maintain the data pipelines using Matillion, Snowflake and AWS services
• Develop reports with Tableau
• Plan and manage project delivery
• Regularly report on progress, issues and opportunities to the customer and Cognizant
• Coordinate quarterly and annual updates of the solution development roadmap
• Lead and mentor data and BI engineers, including customer staff

Salary Range: >$100,000
