Duties and Responsibilities
Basic qualifications:
3+ years of administrative and/or accounting experience required. Microsoft Office proficiency and Excel experience required.
Additional qualifications:
Bachelor's degree highly preferred. Experience with MIP fund and accounting system preferred. Ability to work collegially in a team environment. Attention to detail, highly organized, strong problem-solving skills, good sense of discretion and ability to appropriately handle confidential information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Manages the Accounts Payable cycle, including payments of vendor invoices and individual reimbursements and research accounting discrepancies
- Maintain monthly journal entry control records, ensuring proper approvals are met
- Manage approval process for checks and invoices and record keeping systems
- Organize and manage records and files including vendor payment files, mailings, tax filings and other compliance documentations
- Reviews financial data and takes appropriate action according to specific guidelines or accounting procedures and suggests remedial measures
- Assist Staff Accountant with vendor/staff inquiries regarding follow-up of payments and or approvals needed for processing.
- Orders, updates, and distributes departmental supplies as needed.
- Annual submission of 1099s
- Performs special projects as needed.
- Provides administrative support to Finance office staff and performs related duties as assigned.
- Follow-up on outstanding checks with vendors
