Trust Accountant | Permanent Position Your new company
Our client is a small law firm on the outskirts of Sydney CBD. They are looking to appoint a Trust Accountant on a permanent basis.
Your new role
  • Reporting Monthly Profit & Loss/Balance Sheet and other financial information as requested by the Directors.
  • Adherence of Practice to Trust Account Regulations as determined by the Law Society of New South Wales.
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding debtors in conjunction with the relevant Solicitor.
  • Ensuring banking requirements are adhered to.
  • Administration of the payroll and subsequent payment.
  • Ensure Creditors are paid as per their supply conditions.
  • Liaise with the external Accountant as required.
  • Advise on the utilisation of practice software programmes in use, as well as implementing upgrades.
  • Ensure all taxation obligations are compiled with.
  • Ad-hoc general admin duties.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous Trust Accounting experience is essential.
  • Have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of trust accounting.
  • Have fantastic communication skills and be well presented.
  • Well-organised and with great attention to detail.
